Former President Donald Trump recently took the stage in Asheboro, North Carolina, marking his first outdoor rally since surviving an assassination attempt.
During the rally, Trump didn’t hold back as he addressed the nation’s current state of affairs, with a focus on national security and the deteriorating global situation under Joe Biden’s administration, as reported by Fox News.

“The world is on fire, and Kamala and Biden have marched us to the brink of World War III,” Trump declared, standing behind a podium surrounded by bulletproof glass.
He reminded the crowd of the stark contrast between the peace and security during his time in office compared to the chaos of today. “The entire world was safer when I sat behind that beautiful, resolute desk in the Oval Office,” he said.
Trump reflected on the strength of America’s position under his leadership, highlighting that “our allies admired us” and “our enemies feared us.”
He touted his administration’s accomplishments, including the defeat of ISIS, the elimination of top terrorists, securing the borders, achieving energy independence, standing up to China, protecting Israel, and fostering peace in the Middle East through the Abraham Accords.
In a pointed critique of the current administration, Trump suggested that his diplomatic approach saved countless lives. “I talked this world out of a lot of wars with telephone calls. I don’t have to send in the troops,” he asserted, contrasting his method with Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
According to Trump, this botched operation emboldened America’s enemies and led to the tragic events that followed, including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the horrific Oct. 7th attack on Israel.
“Since the Afghanistan catastrophe, it’s been open season on America and our allies,” Trump said, referencing the withdrawal that resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. service members. He also slammed the Biden administration for the recent revelation that 818,000 fewer jobs were created this year than previously reported, accusing them of “fraudulently manipulating job statistics to hide the true extent of the economic ruin they’ve inflicted on America.”
Joining Trump on stage was Ohio Senator JD Vance, who served as Trump’s running mate. Vance praised Trump for his role in preventing nuclear war, quipping, “Mean tweets and world peace have a pretty nice ring to it. I think we ought to bring it right back.” He continued, “He’s too tough for the tyrants all over the world. He was too strong, even for an assassin’s bullet. Ladies and gentlemen, let’s return to a time when the bravest man led this nation with strength.”
The Trump-Vance rally took place just ahead of the third day of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, setting the stage for what promises to be a heated political battle in the coming months.
