In a significant move to safeguard electoral integrity, the Republican National Committee (RNC) has initiated a lawsuit against the city of Detroit.
The lawsuit alleges a serious breach of state law, accusing the city of appointing significantly more Democratic poll workers than Republican ones, which they claim disrupts the required balance in electoral staffing.
According to Jesse Watters, “The Republican National Committee is suing Detroit after learning the city hired seven times more Democrats than Republicans as poll workers for the election. The RNC claims Detroit’s election commission appointed about 300 Republican poll watchers, compared to well over 2000 Democrat poll watchers, breaking a state law that says there should be equal representation from both parties.”

Amidst these allegations, RNC co-chair Lara Trump emphasized the committee’s commitment to enforcing electoral laws, especially in states governed by Democrats.
She stated, “If you’re a person who is attempting to cheat in our elections, or an illegal citizen attempting to illegally vote in our elections, we will find you, we’ll track you down, and we’ll prosecute you to the full extent of the law. We’re watching everything. We’re filing lawsuits when necessary, and we’re making sure we have people everywhere. Votes are being cast and counted to have eyes on everything.”
The focus on electoral integrity is not confined to Michigan.
In Texas, Governor Greg Abbott has made headlines by purging over one million ineligible voters from the state’s rolls, addressing concerns about voter roll accuracy.
This cleanup included removing nearly half a million deceased individuals and several thousand non-citizens from the rolls.
Jesse Watters highlighted the discrepancies in voter registration practices, questioning how non-citizens were able to register in the first place. “Much different story in Texas, where Governor Greg Abbott just announced he’s removed over 1 million ineligible voters from the state’s voter rolls ahead of November. Nearly half a million of them were dead, and several thousand were noncitizens. How are thousands of foreign nationals able to register to vote in the United States? They keep saying it’s illegal and it doesn’t happen. But now Virginia and Texas have just found thousands of them.”
