The Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago last week showcased actions that drew attention to contradictions within the party.

The event turned into a Trump-bashing fest, with the former president being mentioned over 130 times, according to Breitbart.

In stark contrast, real issues like crime, inflation, and border security were barely touched upon.

This obsessive focus on Trump highlighted how out of touch the Democratic Party has become with the concerns of everyday Americans, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Even those typically aligned with the left couldn’t help but call out the blatant contradictions on display.

Comedian Jon Stewart, who has long been a darling of the liberal crowd, took the DNC to task on his show, exposing the party’s double standards.

Stewart humorously pointed out the absurdity of the DNC’s rhetoric, noting how they parade union leaders and CEOs side by side, all while spouting anti-billionaire rhetoric.

“They had union leaders and CEOs. They had Democratic Party icons and lifelong Republicans.

They had a guy yelling, ‘Screw the billionaires!’ followed immediately by a very happy billionaire,” Stewart quipped, as he showcased the faces of Bernie Sanders and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker—a billionaire himself.

Stewart didn’t stop there. He highlighted how Democrats love to criticize billionaires—unless those billionaires are the ones filling their campaign coffers. “It’s all okay if it’s our billionaire. I don’t like billionaires, but he’s all right,” Stewart remarked, perfectly capturing the selective outrage that defines the modern Democratic Party.

The comedian also called out the hypocrisy within the party when it comes to educational elitism.

Stewart pointed out that while Democrats like Tim Walz attack figures such as JD Vance for being a Yale Law graduate, they conveniently ignore the fact that their own ranks are filled with Yale alumni, including Hillary Clinton and Senator Amy Klobuchar. “They had guys making fun of people for going to a bunch of people who went to Yale,” Stewart said, drawing attention to the glaring inconsistency.

In one of the most biting moments of his critique, Stewart turned his attention to Vice President Kamala Harris. “She prosecuted sexual predators,” he said, pausing for dramatic effect as Hillary Clinton’s face appeared on-screen. The audience erupted in laughter, fully aware of the irony Stewart was highlighting.

The DNC aimed to rally their base with the convention, but their messaging and actions ultimately highlighted significant contradictions within the party’s platform and leadership.
