Drea de Matteo, best known for her role as Adriana on The Sopranos, has strong words for Hollywood, declaring the industry “dead” and blasting its celebrity endorsements of Kamala Harris.

In a recent interview with Fox Business, de Matteo didn’t mince words when discussing the current state of the entertainment industry and its embrace of left-leaning political figures.

“I’m still a super liberal, so I feel like it’s time for us all to come together, but a lot of people on the left are afraid,” de Matteo stated. She went on to criticize A-listers like George Clooney and Meryl Streep for supporting figures like Dick Cheney and endorsing wars.

“I don’t understand the inversion and how people have flipped, unless they’re under the gun, so to speak, I find it hard to believe that people like George Clooney or Meryl Streep don’t actually know what’s going on.”

De Matteo didn’t hold back on her view of Hollywood’s decline either. According to her, the entertainment industry is becoming irrelevant. “Hollywood is meaningless in all of this. The American dream feels like it’s on pause. Hollywood is dead. The music industry is dead,” she emphasized.

Reflecting on cultural stagnation, she said, “There’s no cultural, artistic movements speaking out about this. You don’t see fine art — there’s usually protest art about wars and censorship. And we’re stagnant right now.”

As reported by Trending Politics News, de Matteo, who has also starred in shows like Sons of Anarchy and Desperate Housewives, argues that Hollywood’s current crop of actors and entertainers completely lack artistic expression. “I find that so interesting, that that’s the culture we’re living in right now. We’re hippies for humanity, and it’s like, where did the hippies go? I don’t understand where everybody disappeared to.”

Despite identifying as a liberal, de Matteo stressed that her values haven’t aligned with the left’s recent direction. “We’re trying to bridge the gap between left and right. I’m a liberal, but I can sit down with conservatives all day.”

Though she once supported Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign, de Matteo now stands by his decision to endorse Donald Trump.

“At the very moment, all I care about is fighting for this country and just trying to wake up a few more of my fellow liberals to get back to the center of things and recognize that the things they always fought for — all of that weaponization on the left — is camouflage. They’re fighting for social issues that really don’t matter when you look at the big picture of what’s really happening behind the scenes.”

De Matteo’s message is clear: Hollywood is losing its relevance, and it’s time for people to stop blindly following the political establishment.
