As another crisis unfolds in the Biden-Harris administration, their failure to lead leaves southern flood victims in despair.

Families are left scrambling for their lives, hundreds remain unaccounted for, and the death toll has neared 200, making this one of the deadliest hurricanes in U.S. history.

Instead of receiving timely aid, these Americans are watching helplessly as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) struggles to provide necessary disaster relief.

Why? Because, under this administration, FEMA’s funds have been rerouted for something else entirely, as reported by The Federalist.

According to reports, the Biden administration redirected over a billion dollars in taxpayer money—intended for FEMA’s disaster relief efforts—to provide for illegal immigrants.

FEMA allocated $364 million in 2023 and an additional $650 million for 2024 to fund the “Shelter and Services Program.” This initiative, run in conjunction with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), is designed to offer humanitarian services to illegal migrants upon their release from Department of Homeland Security (DHS) facilities, as reported by Townhall.

FEMA’s website confirms this shift, stating the program helps ensure the “safe, orderly, and humane release of noncitizen migrants.” The priority for Americans, however, seems to have taken a back seat.

As flood victims endure the fallout of the storm, Vice President Kamala Harris did what has become routine—a brief visit to survey the damage, capped off with a photo op.

The administration then had the nerve to offer just $750 to those impacted. These checks might have been larger if Biden and Harris weren’t busy spending billions on free housing for illegal immigrants and fueling international conflicts like the war in Ukraine.

Former President Donald Trump speaks at Alro Steel in Potterville, Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024.

Meanwhile, former President Trump has stepped up where the administration has failed, launching a GoFundMe (which is currently at $4,454,883) to help disaster victims directly. He’s also arranged with Elon Musk for Starlink services to provide much-needed communication capabilities to those stranded in remote areas.

Once again, private citizens and leaders like Trump are doing what this administration refuses to—provide real solutions.
