Tech billionaire Elon Musk’s political action committee (PAC), America PAC, is making waves with a new initiative aimed at boosting voter registration and turnout ahead of the 2024 election.
According to the PAC’s website, it is offering starting wages of $30 per hour to individuals who want to help increase voter participation in key battleground states.
The PAC’s website invites potential workers to “JOIN OUR TEAM,” offering competitive pay to those interested in working to expand voter registration efforts. “Pay starts at $30 per hour, with bonuses for performance,” the website reads.

Musk’s America PAC is pushing for large-scale canvassing efforts in several critical states, including Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina, as well as other competitive districts across the country.
Musk, who publicly endorsed former President Donald Trump earlier this summer, has aligned his PAC’s mission with Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.
The tech mogul joined Trump on stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, where he emphasized the importance of the upcoming election.
The event marked Trump’s return to Butler following a July 13 assassination attempt at a rally in which the former president was injured.
“I think it’s the most important election of our lifetime. This is no ordinary election,” Musk told the crowd. “The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms… They want to take away your right to vote effectively.”

Musk encouraged the audience to mobilize their friends, family, and communities to ensure they are registered and ready to vote. He urged people to be persistent in getting others to participate in the election, adding, “And honestly, you want to just be a pest. Just be a pest to everyone. You know, people on the street everywhere.”
In a nod to Trump’s rallying cry from July, Musk echoed, “Fight, fight, fight, vote, vote, vote,” referencing the chants Trump led after he was shot in the ear during the assassination attempt.

America PAC, which Musk officially launched earlier this summer, aims to promote “free speech, free markets, and a merit-based society.” The PAC has focused its resources on canvassing and get-out-the-vote operations in swing states that will likely play a decisive role in the 2024 election.
Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings from late September show that America PAC has already invested over $2.4 million in more than a dozen key congressional races.
Musk has indicated he plans to commit up to $45 million per month to support the PAC’s efforts.
The PAC’s canvassing program has drawn attention on social media, with users noting the high starting pay of $30 per hour—more than 400% higher than the federal minimum wage of $7.25. Many have pointed to the pay as a significant motivator for voter outreach.
Last week, Politico reported that Turning Point Action, a conservative advocacy group, teamed up with America PAC in Wisconsin to strengthen the Republican Party’s ground game.
Turning Point spokesperson Andrew Kolvet noted the importance of having volunteers in the field to drive voter turnout. “We’ve always known bodies in the field equals ballots in the box,” Kolvet told Politico. “This partnership will be a major lift to our efforts to ensure our ballot chasers are able to maximize their impact in Wisconsin.”
Musk, who previously described himself as a “historically moderate Democrat,” has taken a more active role in Republican politics this election cycle.
In August, he hosted Trump for a two-hour conversation streamed on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
The discussion covered a wide range of issues, including immigration, inflation, the assassination attempt against Trump, and the policies Trump would implement if he wins the November 5 election.
With America PAC and its ambitious voter outreach efforts, Musk is playing a prominent role in shaping the political landscape ahead of the 2024 election, mobilizing resources and supporters to secure key victories for the GOP.
