A recent Rasmussen Reports survey reveals that a majority of voters support calls for an FBI investigation into the actions of former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) during her tenure on the January 6 select committee.
The committee had attributed the Capitol riots to President-elect Donald Trump’s efforts to challenge the 2020 election results.
According to the survey, 57% of likely voters approved of Republican calls in Congress to investigate Cheney’s conduct on the committee, while 33% opposed the idea.

The report alleges that Cheney secretly communicated with former Trump aide Cassidy Hutchinson without Hutchinson’s attorney’s knowledge, potentially influencing her testimony.

Hutchinson’s testimony during the hearings included controversial claims, some of which were later discredited, such as her assertion that Trump tried to seize control of a presidential limo.
The survey indicates strong support for an investigation among Republican voters, with 73% favoring an FBI probe into Cheney’s activities.
