Appointed in 2023 as a “Distinguished University Professor” in the School of Medicine and the McCourt School of Public Policy, Fauci’s role has reportedly yet to include teaching a single course—a revelation that has conservatives calling foul, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
Georgetown hailed Fauci’s arrival as a monumental honor, with university president John J. Yet, over a year later, The College Fix revealed that Fauci’s name doesn’t appear in any course catalogs as an instructor. Instead of leading classes, Fauci has reportedly limited his involvement to “lectures, seminars, and fireside chats,” according to The Georgetowner.
For a man who pocketed $480,654 annually as the highest-paid federal employee and retired with a net worth exceeding $11 million, this new role feels more like a public relations stunt than an actual teaching position.
Georgetown’s lavish praise aside, many are questioning how the university justifies paying such a high-profile figure without a clear record of academic contributions.
Adding to the controversy, Fauci’s past actions continue to haunt him. In Louisiana, criminal investigations have been called for against Fauci and other public health officials for alleged mismanagement during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The accusations include suppressing life-saving treatments and enforcing harmful hospital protocols. These claims are bolstered by documents obtained through FOIA requests, which reveal Fauci’s involvement in funding gain-of-function research—a direct contradiction of his previous statements.
Fauci’s critics, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., have also highlighted the financial windfalls he and his NIH deputies allegedly received from pharmaceutical companies like Moderna.
While Fauci retired with an eye-popping annual pension of $350,000, taxpayers have shelled out an additional $15 million over two years for his security—a bill many argue is unjustifiable now that he’s a private citizen.
