High-profile celebrities are quietly settling lawsuits connected to the ongoing sex assault case against Sean “Diddy” Combs, according to attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents over 120 of the rapper’s alleged victims.
Buzbee revealed that several well-known figures have opted to settle out of court to avoid being publicly named in legal proceedings related to the case.
Buzbee, whose firm is preparing lawsuits against multiple individuals, told TMZ that some celebrities have already agreed to settlements to avoid the public exposure that would come with a lawsuit.

He noted that the settlements are in the best interest of the victims.
“In every single case, especially cases like this… because it’s in the best interests of the victim, we attempt to resolve these matters without the filing of a public lawsuit and we’ve done that already with a handful of individuals, many of which you’ve heard of before,” Buzbee said, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
Combs, the founder of Bad Boy Records, was arrested in September on criminal sex-trafficking charges, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
Buzbee indicated that his firm will begin filing lawsuits this month on behalf of the victims, including 25 minors. The attorney also sent demand letters to notify others who will be sued in addition to Combs.
Buzbee emphasized that those who were present during the alleged incidents and failed to intervene could also face legal action.
“If you were there in the room, participated, watched it happen and didn’t say anything or helped cover it up, in my view, you have a problem,” Buzbee stated. “A lot of people saw this activity going on, a lot of people allowed it to go on, said nothing, didn’t intervene… all of these individuals and entities have exposure.”
Despite growing anticipation over who else might be implicated, Buzbee cautioned that the public naming of other high-profile individuals would not occur immediately.
He stressed the importance of thoroughly investigating before naming others beyond Combs.
“Everyone is focused on what other celebrities were involved, who is going to be named, who is going to be outed. I don’t expect that to happen this week,” Buzbee said. “We want to make sure if we name individuals beyond Mr. Combs that we have done our homework because it is going to create a firestorm, and we understand that.”
Combs, 54, has been in custody since his arrest on September 16.
Federal authorities accuse him of forcing women into drug-fueled “freak off” sex sessions with male prostitutes, which allegedly lasted for days.
The abuse is claimed to have spanned over a decade, with Combs allegedly using threats of violence to ensure his victims’ compliance.
In the wake of his arrest, numerous victims have come forward with legal claims and allegations of abuse.
Combs and his legal team have denied all accusations of wrongdoing, maintaining that the encounters were consensual and that no minors were ever abused.
