A man accused of kidnapping a woman on Christmas Eve in Haltom City is facing multiple charges after being arrested in Oklahoma City.
The suspect, 35-year-old Eduardo JaEduardovier Ordonez Godoy, is accused of forcing a 22-year-old woman into her car at gunpoint and making her withdraw money from an ATM before driving her to Grapevine, where he abandoned her and stole her vehicle.
The victim was leaving her apartment at Acacia Apartments in Haltom City early on Christmas Eve when she was approached by an armed man wearing a mask.

According to police, Godoy forced the victim into the backseat of her car, threatening her as he made her take money from an ATM.
He then drove her approximately 20 miles to Grapevine, where he left her near the Camden Apartments on Grapevine Mills Parkway before fleeing in her vehicle.
After the victim managed to contact police, she provided officers with a description of her car and the armed suspect.
This information was quickly entered into a national database by Haltom City police.
Less than 24 hours later, police in Oklahoma City located the stolen vehicle in a parking lot.
The suspect, Godoy, was found inside the car and arrested.
He was taken into custody without further incident, and evidence connected to the crime was recovered at the scene.
Godoy, a native of Honduras, allegedly told police that he was affiliated with a gang in his home country.
Arrest affidavits detail that he threatened the victim during the ordeal, saying he would “sell her organs” or “prostitute her.”
The victim told police these comments caused her to fear for her life. Godoy also used the victim’s shoelace to bind her hands around a tree before leaving her in Grapevine.
During the interview with police, Godoy confessed to the crime, stating that he needed money. However, according to Haltom City Police Sgt. Rick Alexander, what stood out to investigators was Godoy’s attitude during the interview.
“He smirked a lot, he giggled, and, you know, was almost proud of what he did.” – Sgt. Rick Alexander
Investigators also revealed that Godoy had a history of similar crimes. He had previously been arrested and deported back to Honduras for criminal activity. “He claims he’s just a thief. He wants money,” Alexander explained.
“But, you know, in this case, clearly he went beyond that and brought a firearm into it.”
Godoy is currently being held in jail in Oklahoma City and is facing several felony charges, including unauthorized use of a vehicle, aggravated robbery, and using a firearm while committing a felony.
He also faces aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery charges in Haltom City.
Additionally, because of his immigration status, Godoy is subject to an ICE detainer.
