CBS News, once a respected institution built by icons like Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, and Mike Wallace, has become the latest casualty of the bizarre woke agenda infecting the mainstream media.
This unfortunate reality was exposed when a leaked tape revealed CBS executives berating a journalist for simply doing his job.
As reported by The New York Post, “CBS Mornings” anchor Tony Dokoupil found himself in hot water after questioning Ta-Nehisi Coates, an author with a one-sided, anti-Israel stance, about his warped historical takes on the Middle East.

Coates’ radical views have become untouchable in today’s media, even as he questions Israel’s right to defend itself on the one-year anniversary of the October 7th massacre.
What’s not making as many headlines is how this woke circus could impact CBS’s business and its pending sale to Skydance, an independent studio run by David Ellison, famous for producing hits like “Top Gun: Maverick.”
David’s father, Oracle founder Larry Ellison, a staunch supporter of Israel, is the financial muscle behind the $28 billion deal to buy CBS’s parent company, Paramount. From what insiders suggest, Larry isn’t pleased with what he’s seeing at CBS.
While the Ellisons are currently powerless to interfere until the deal closes in the spring, that won’t be the case for long. One insider suggested they’re planning to “blow the place up.”
Whether this means restructuring CBS News under new leadership—like CEO Wendy McMahon and news chief Adrienne Roark—or introducing a new ethics department free from the woke Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) nonsense, remains to be seen.
Many believe that Coates, protected by DEI ideology because of his race, was treated as untouchable, even though Dokoupil was simply holding him accountable. As reported by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and its chief Jonathan Greenblatt, the ADL complained to CBS that Dokoupil, who is Jewish, was unjustly reprimanded.
Skydance representatives declined to comment, citing the pending nature of the sale, and CBS press officials have remained silent. However, it’s clear the Ellisons are keeping a close eye on the situation as they watch their investment’s value diminish under the weight of this woke narrative.
Even Shari Redstone, daughter of Sumner Redstone and part-owner of CBS, chimed in, stating that McMahon and her team made a mistake in criticizing Dokoupil. Meanwhile, Paramount’s co-CEO George Cheeks added to the fire with a memo seemingly written by a DEI operative.
As insiders note, David and Larry Ellison, along with RedBird Capital, are united in their desire to see the end of CBS’s woke experiment. The network’s questionable handling of a “60 Minutes” interview with Kamala Harris is only adding to the fire.
With woke programming driving up costs in an era of cord-cutting, CBS’s woke indulgence is putting its future at risk. Wall Street sources say the news division might even be sold off as the Ellisons and RedBird focus on more profitable ventures like CBS’s sports programming.
